Morning Harbor XI
When The Sea Allows a Place to Anchor
Moorings
one morning
I notice the gulls.
The harbor has been awake
for hours.
Attention returns
The piling
still here
faithfulness remains
soundings
enough
Enough carries
The ring
made fast
I may let go now
harbor bell
underway
when the sea calls again
this harbor will be carried within
