Threshold

For the moment when life is no longer
approached as something that must
always be resisted or controlled.

Inside Verse

The ocean is never still.

Beneath the surface,
great movements gather
beyond what can yet be seen.

Not everything asks to be resisted.

Some swells
are already carrying you.

And wisdom begins
when you learn
the difference.

Reflection

In earlier seasons,
survival may have required constant opposition.

But inhabiting life
asks for a different wisdom:
learning when to stand and when to be carried —
where discernment grows.

Some movements carry us
more fully into the life that is already here.

What Falls Away
The belief that every movement must be resisted or controlled.

What Becomes Possible
The wisdom to recognize when life itself is carrying you forward.

These words honor the courage to trust movement —
that some swells are invitations.

For seasons of transition, calling,
or unexpected change
when someone senses that life
may be inviting them to move rather than hold against it.
